The Rolex Submariner 116610 — and Where to Pawn It

When it comes to luxury watches, Rolex leads the pack — and the Ceramic Submariner is one of its most iconic models. Waterproof to serious depths, sporty yet refined, a used Submariner holds strong value, which makes it excellent collateral if you ever need cash.

The Rolex Ceramic Submariner 116610

Rolex first used its scratch-resistant Cerachrom ceramic bezel on the GMT-Master II in 2005; unlike aluminum, its color doesn't fade under UV light. The first Submariner to get it was the 116610, which replaced the earlier 16610.

The two look similar, but the 116610 brought real upgrades: the Parachrom Bleu hairspring (an update to the Caliber 3135) for reliable performance under extreme conditions, a brighter bluish-green lume that's easier to read in the dark, and a beefier crown guard and lugs. Both measure 40mm, but the 116610 wears larger.

Your Submariner as an Investment

Even used, a Submariner commands strong money, and some appreciate over time. If it carries sentimental value, you may not want to sell — and you don't have to. Pawn shops don't just buy luxury items; they lend against them.

How Borrowing Against It Works

Bring the watch in, we appraise it, and grant a loan based on a portion of its value. Make your payments, and once the loan is repaid you get the watch back. If you can't repay, we simply keep the watch — it never becomes a mark on your credit report or goes to collections.

Not all pawn shops offer the same rates. See our luxury watch page and collateral loans, or call (561) 774-9292.
