How to request your label
The label is issued from your estimate request — that is how we know what is coming and can insure the shipment properly:
- 1. Fill out the Mail-In Gold form — what you are sending, its approximate weight (required — a kitchen or postal scale is fine), karat if known, and photos of each item.
- 2. See your instant estimate at live gold prices (we pay up to 90% of melt value).
- 3. We review the same day and email your free insured FedEx label with packing instructions.
Packing checklist
- Plain, sturdy box inside a second box — never write "gold," "jewelry," or anything valuable-sounding on the outside.
- Wrap items so they do not rattle; a rattling box invites curiosity.
- Photograph your items before sealing the box — good practice for any valuable shipment.
- Drop the package at a staffed FedEx location (not an unattended drop box) and keep your receipt.
What can I send?
Gold jewelry from 10K to 24K — chains, bracelets, rings, pendants — plus scrap and broken gold, gold coins, and bullion. Not sure of the karat? That is fine — we just need a description and approximate weight to insure your kit, and we test and weigh everything on camera when it arrives — see how we test gold.
Shipping from Florida
Most of our kits go to Florida addresses. From Miami, Fort Lauderdale, West Palm Beach, Tampa, Orlando, Jacksonville, Naples or Fort Myers, a package dropped at a staffed FedEx location usually reaches our Pompano Beach vault the next morning — same free insured label, same on-camera opening as any other state. If you would rather hand it over in person, you can sell gold at the counter in Pompano Beach, Fort Lauderdale or Miami.
Then what happens?
